Program in Health Disparities Research
Minnesota is consistently ranked as one of the healthiest states in the nation. Despite the overall status of our state, minority and underserved populations experience disproportionately poor health and high rates of illness and death.
Our goal is to eliminate health inequities. We are a trans-disciplinary team developing, implementing, and evaluating cutting-edge solutions to eliminate health inequities through collaborative research, innovative education, and trusted community partnership in Minnesota and beyond.
The following presentation was given by Program in Health Disparities Research's Amy Shanafelt, MA, at the 2014 Public Engagement Leaders Retreat, organized by the University of Minnesota's Office for Public Engagement.
